Website for son
Elm 3544 asked me a couple questions and I haven't figured out where to post responses so decided to just start a new discussion. First of all, yes I do live in Hawaii. My son and daughter-in-law had the audacity to move here and bring my grandson. So after they had their daughter, my youngest (daughter) and I decided we'd…

Update
Hello everyone. It has been some time since I posted on this site. I had a little set back a few weeks ago and have been recovering from my incision bursting open and letting it heal on its own, which it did. I will be starting chemotherapy on September 18th and I am a little nervous because I do not know what to expect. I…

Surgery tomorrow
Here it is the day before surgery. Whether it's a good thing, my mind is off tomorrow, or a bad thing, it still isn't on work, I am at my desk finishing up all the little things so I can take time off with a clear conscience. Also since I don't have a lot of leave time, I'm making sure I don't use any I don't have to.…

Thank you sisters in pink
There was a discussion earlier regarding when it's time to go. I responded with a huge "thank you" but wanted to make sure that you all were really aware of my gratitude for all of you. It's a very scary and fast moving situation to be thrown into once one is diagnosed with breast cancer. There is way too much information…

Chemo .. does it help with adult onset "Acme"
I sorry if my question sounds a little vain, but I have been fight acme for years, I am hoping that my chemo will help clear up my adult acme, and I stop purchasing every acme product known to man and women. Anyone with same problem ? Thank you, Vicki Sam

A seaman meets a pirate in a bar, and they take turns to tell their adventures on the seas. The seaman notes that the pirate has a peg leg, hook, and an eye patch. Curious, the seaman asks, "So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?" The pirate replies, "I was swept overboard into a school of sharks. Just as my men were…

Day 35 of Pammy's Rads....Last One!!
WooooHoooo....I am women, hear me roar!! (then cough, sniffle, and blow nose!). Last day of Rads and wouldn't it just be my luck that I woke up with a cold? Sigh...at least it hit me on the last day, so all I need to do is stay in bed if I want to. No more everyday appointments! No more hospital gowns that didn't fit! No…

Done With Chemo!
I had my follow up today and wound up in the chemo room for my final treatment! I did not have the Taxotere, just the Cytoxan and I do not have to have the Neulasta tomorrow! My onc. said that I am at 90% of completing the chemo by having the Cytoxan. He also said if it were him, this is what he would do because he feels…

(Did the first time, but that was ten years ago before the AIs were the primary line.) Did have surgery, AGAIN, on femara, and will do rads.…

I had my first TCH chemo treatment 14 days ago. I had been told that I would lose my hair. I was not sure when this would happen. Day 6 of Sue's Rads
Even though I am just starting, it was nice to have 3 days off from rads. Everyone at the cancer center was in a great mood and had a great holiday. I talked today to a woman that had her grandfather there. She is a nurse, so, she was getting a bit technical about his treatment. He is doing chemo and rads at the same time.…

Light A Candle?
It would be so nice if all of us would light a candle at 8 p.m. in honor of Danelle. I am sure that when she looks down from Heaven, she will see all of them and smile. And, not only will her face light up, but, so will her heart.♥ Kristin ♥

☺When Is It Time?☻
I was just wondering, when is it time to quit posting on here? When is it time to move on? Is there a certain time to move on? Is it after our treatments are finished? Is it 1 to 5 years after our NED news? Or does the site, or, has the site become too much of a comfort blanket to us? A place where any of us can come…

New to site - need emotional support
I'm new to this site and am looking for support emotionally. I was diagnosed this past April with cancer in my right breast. Had a mastectomy in May, didn't need chemo but am now on Tamoxifen. The only side effect I have is moodiness. I'm beginning to feel so irritable that I'm becoming depressed. I'm typically a very…

Hello to all my BC sisters. I'm a newbie both with breast cancer and the electronic chatting. Ever since my mother had breast cancer and a double mastectomy over 40 years ago. She survived almost 39 years through a time when women didn't only to succumb to pancreatic cancer at age 79. Since my mid-twenties I have…
