Best Friend Fighting Stage 3 Throat Cancer
So my best friend was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer in the middle of my semester in school this fall. I live 3 hours south of her. It's really been rough. I have felt horrible about not being able to be there for her during this time so I've tried to be there in other ways. Sending her cards and trinkets in the mail…

I am thinking about all of you, especially at this time of the year, some of you will remember me and the new ones will not. I lost my husband, age 56, to this cancer on September 15,2009, then my dear mother a week later on September 24, 2009. Although I do not post much on here anymore, I do occasionally get on and read…

I have not been on this board for 2 months. I noticed that William is not present here, something happened to him? New to EC board but not to cancer.
Hi all. I usually post on the lung cancer board but a recent Barrett's Esophagus has me checking in here. A long overdue Update on Dave
I wish I could write more positive news, but we are 10 weeks post-op surgery on Monday and STILL not home. Actually I can say that he is now out of Hopkins and in rehab, but I doubt he'll be home for Christmas. Dave has beat incredible odds and weathered post op complications that we never dreamed of, but he still has a…

So many new people; so many unusual circumstances
I read the posts with the idea of offering some personal experience information as a caregiver, but I am overwhelmed. There are so many new Stage IVs or Stage IIIs with complications. Some are not getting the protocol I understand to be the latest approach, and I don't understand why. Sometimes I think I read that the…
