Newbie BC survivor but now possible endo/uterine cancer??
Hi everyone, I am 42 years old and a 2 year breast cancer survivor - yeah!! I also have had endometriosis since I was 14 (5 lap procedures before I was 30) and I was on the pill for 23 years. I chose not to do tamoxifen for this reason - increase in uterine cancer so I'm not on anything. Last week my pap smear came back…

Having an alkaline body - questions
We have talked about the connection between diet and fighting cancer. Lots about turmeric etc. Here are a few more things that I would like to know about. Please give feedback. 1. ground ginger and green tea. I met an old man yesterday at yoga class that said he was able to eliminate his arthritis pain - maybe arthritis…

Food Suggestions?
Hi, I'm new to the board. I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer in April. I had a hysterectomy in May. My cancer was stage 2 and it was thought that the hysterectomy would take care of it, until the 'wash' they did of my abdomen before surgery came back with cancer cells in it. So, I'm doing 6 rounds of chemo and 3…

Retirement?
Norma's post on another thread really interested me. What do we all do? Many of us are around the same age (i.e, postmenopausal), some of us are retired, many aren't. So, I'll start because I've had a career path/life sort of like Forrest Gump (except I didn't get rich). I'm working on my third retirement. I believe in…

After completing a rough regime of chemo and radiation in Nov, retirement from fulltime work, and exercising about an hour a day now - My last 3 survellience follow-ups have been VERY GOOD. I hope this gives…

Reconciling Hope with Healthy Skepticism
Dear All, Have been following the interchange between Claudia and JoAnn on efficacy of curcumin and want to thank them both, for we need both kinds of perspective whenever a promising new supplement is touted as a near godsend. Long an admirer of Claudia's passion for nutriitional research and her instinct that "nature…

Mullarian adenosarcoma
I have recently been diagnosed with mullarian adenosarcoma. I had a benign uterine polyp removed 5 years ago Now I have a cancerous polyp coming from the cervix. In doing some research, I found out that the benign polyp could have really been an adenosarcoma but did not show up as that even in the pathology. Now I am…

Chemo 7 completed
Sorry to be so late in updating, but our power was off for two and a half days due to a storm that went through. So much of the city was without power. Trees and lines were down all over town. I went to the doctor on Tuesday. My CA 125 was 43.5 down from 50.9 three weeks ago. The doctor felt I should have one more chemo…

Wheatgrass and Chemo
Is it save to drink wheatgrass juice while taking chemo? I am asking because I made the mistake of taking Vitamin C supplements during my first 15 treatments of chemo. I do not want to put myself at risk again, especially now that I have only 3 more treatments to go. If you have taken it, where did you buy it?
