As a follow up, I had a PET scan last week. All looked normal except my doctor said my thymus gland was enlarged compared to the PET…

Is RAI dangerous if you have had it before?
Hello all. I am 41 with papillary cancer, had TT in July 09. I am getting RAI soon...waiting for the appointment date from my endo. My sister had ThyCa about 10 years ago & had a TT with RAI back then. She has not had any other problems with her thyroid CA. Since she doesn't have a thyroid, do I still need to stay away…

I had a thyroidectomy in September of 2008. My voice was very quiet at first and now is still not normal. I have seen an ENT several times times now. I also have breathing problems at times. Surgery is not an option now because the Dr. is concerned about me having even less space to breathe. Anyone know if the Surgeon is…

Despite of its outstanding reputation, I've been told that there's no rush to have surgery (TT) and now my biopsy slide had not been checked by ENT doctor and also she had not contacted my Endo doctor. 2nd surgery, thanks for all the positive posts
Thank you all for the positive information posted on these boards. It's 3a where I am, and since I can't sleep I've been reading like crazy and feel much more educated. 13 Days ago I had a Lobectomy to remove a nodule that had grown to be over 3 cm. It came back fine, but out of the smaller nodules on the right side- 1 is…

Total thyroidectomy vs. partial thyroidectomy - which is better for 1cm tumor
I was told my doctors that either surgery is ok and they left the decision up to me. I know that TT is a more risky surgery but its the after effects that I am interested in. Is the recovery the same or easier in partial?? I am 47 years and was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. I have read and heard some fairly…
