Positive Colon Cancer Screening Test
All, my husband has Stage 4 prostate cancer. After radiation therapy for the tumor in the prostate and for lesions in his bones plus being on Xtandi and Lupron, his past 3 PSA tests have come back with non-detectable levels. That is good news! His primary care doctor wanted him to take the Cologuard (colon cancer…

I had my surgery today
I’m typing this post on my phone from my overnight hospital bed. Today was my Davinci robot-assisted RP, and I’m happy and relieved to finally have it over with. This lesion measures 1.2 x 0.4 x…

Biopsy 2nd Opinion: Better, but it's still RP time
To review: I'm 67, have been on Active Surveillance since April 2018 when my first biopsy found one of 12 cores with about 10% of 3+3 Gleason score prostate cancer. Third biopsy in December 2021 came back with one of 12 cores with 22% of 4+4, quite a change. Immediately went into battle mode, deciding on RP surgery - but…

Confused about PSA Number
I had an RP in 2017 and my PSA has since then been <0.1. Last October (2021) the PSA changed to 0.04 and the doctor was concerned that the cancer may be comimg back. This month February 2022 my PSA again tested 0.04. I'm confused because isn't 0.04 less than 0.1? Isn't that a lower score? Thank you
