Elbow joints ache
Has anyone else had this after chemo is finished? At first it was only my left elbow, and now it is both. I only notice it in the evening when I am relaxing, and so forget to ask my doctor about it. I just assume that achey joints are par for the course when you have had 26 doses of toxins pumped into you, and am thankful…

Should I be worried???
Hi Has anyone had a metastatic inguinal lymph node? Yesterday my doctor confirmed that I my right node has metastasied caused from PPC. Will be having a CT scan on Tuesday and hopefully see an oncologist on Wednesday (both my gyn/onc and oncologist are on holidays). I had surgery in October 2008 for Primary Peritoneal and…

PARP Trial for NON BRCA women and C-Diff
Hi All, It's been awhile. I've had a rough few weeks. It seems that I have something called C-Diff. It's a bacteria one picks up in hospitals and trust me it makes you very sick. I am going to need a procedure that I don't want to describe. Anyway, I wonder where I picked up this bug? Hmmmmmm what hospital have I been in?…

Cravings?
Ok...so this weird and a bit light hearted, but we all need to think of something weird and wacky from time to time! I have found that since my diagnosis, I have experienced a range of cravings...have you experienced the same thing? Initially, after diagnosis, I really wanted wine and chocolate..lots and lots of wine and…

I recently had surgery for my endometriosis. This is my second surgery for this, the first was in 2005. In 2005 they found a tumor that was the size of a baseball but it was benign and so they removed that and my right ovary and fallopian tube. The doctor was horrible and a quack and i was young. So he didnt tell me to…

CT Scan
I saw my oncologist today and asked when I would be getting a CT scan done... She said they are typically done one year after finishing chemo (unless there are symptoms or a rise in CA 125). Has anyone had them done sooner than one year? I know the exposure to radiation is not good, but I would feel so much better having a…

CA125-What is "Normal"
This number seems to dominate our life, once we are diagnosed. I have seen the "normal" range referred to as 0-35, and also 0-17. Also, I was told by my gyn/onc. that individual trends are very important. So, if you are a 6 and you suddenly double to a 12, that may not be a good thing. While in the "real world" you are…
