My 87 year old father has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and lung cancer of the left lung.

Update--no spine mets !!
Hello Family..... Well the Doc indicates the MRI of the spine seems Not to be cancerous! But...does seem to be a abnormality of the T6 vertabrae in the spine probably due to radiation in that area about 1.5 yrs ago. What is EGFR mutation test and what is immunoreactive score implies?
My father is suffering from lung cancer(stage 4). After biopsy test his slides were gone for EGFR mutation test. And he got immunoreactive score of 4+ after this test. Doctor told me that after this test they will going to conclude that if he will be treated with gefitnib or chemotherapy. What does this test implies???
