Geez People
Ok, I was at work and some people mean well but do not realize the impact of their words... or the real possiblity is that I am full of anxiety, worry, etc. and I twist their words. So I had surgery 8 weeks or so ago and a co-worker came to check on me as we both keep missing one another due to travel. She asked very…

Votrient, Inhibitors and Intimacy
I am looking for some feedback on what everyone's doctor has told them about intimacy while being on Votrient or any other inhibitor. Some docs have reported that it is safe and other docs say that Votrient or any other inhibitor, may be present in bodily fluids and couples should avoid kissing, sex without condoms, and…

MRI results
my husband had an MRI of his spine today and nothing new showed up; one of his radiation oncologist's concern was how the Cyberknife worked on the L4 pedicle that was 1 mm away from the nerves. it appears to have worked well and she confirmed the thought that his kidney cancer is not following a recognizable pattern and…

Complications after laparascopic partial nephrectomy - any words of wisdom?
Hi everyone It has been sometime since I have signed on and I hope everyone is doing well, or is on their way to doing better. My surgery was on June 25, went very well, and the path report showed a T1a RCC with clean margins. Easy-peasy, right? I was out and about soon after but almost immediately after having my staples…

I just wanted to take a few minutes and send an update. I met with the oncologist on Monday and he has scheduled a lung biopsy for Monday 8/31. Anyone else plagued by anxiety and borderline hypochondria?
I try to follow Fox’s advice and think positively and try to remain upbeat and optimistic. But I just can’t help at times being consumed by anxiety so bad that I wake up with my heart pounding and nearly suffocating. Every single ache or pain or discomfort is filtered through the Big C word and I’m convinced that the…

RCC returns after being cancer free for 20 years (updated 8/21)
Adding new message here as I can't figure out how to add to my boards otherwise. Saw my urologist. He read the reports and looked at the CD that held my scans, but the CD is incomplete. He will be spending the day contacting the original hospital to get the scans as "pictures do not lie, but reports on them may." He will…

Hernia
Sorry I've been gone for a while. I've been going out full speed trying to make up for last Summer with the kids. I noticed a small bugle right, smach dab in the middle on my incision.
