ANOTHER CLEAN SCOPE AND EXAM
Hello all, and I am happy to report that another clean scope and exam passed by yesterday. I have Neck and Chest CT with contrast on the 26th. that for once I am not a nervous wreck. This now puts me 17 months out from treatment. have a great weekend. BEST!! Mike

11 months out from final TX and received the NED news yesterday. My doc tells me that more than 50% of all re-occurences happen within the first year of treatment and almost all happen within the first two years. So here's looking at NED forever.

Mandible. I was diagnosed with mucoepidermoid carcinoma in 2000. I had a malignant tumor in my right mandible. Most of my right mandible was rescected because of the wide margins required. My mandible was reconstructed using my fibula. I'd be happy to talk to anyone facing this type of surgery.

Are all Squamous Cell cancers the same?
what I mean by that, are some aggressive, and some more slow? Driving me crazy.
I know its only 9 rad sessions in, but the complete loss of tase is driving me potty. I can Still eat as my thoat is not to sore, but I've got no desire to eat as everything tastes like s#@t.
