CT today, and a Cold
Taking the advice/experience of others, here, my last ENT visit I suggested a 6-month CT, rather than no tests and wait a year for the next PS/CT. Today was the day. Thing is, less than 24-hours before the scan I realized I have likely come down with a Cold- based on the amount and color of the nasal mucous, and tired…

Strange Day
What an ususual day. This morning, I was horribly constipated (from the chemo drug) and my anxiety level got so high, I went into the E room. They gave me a delightful enema of molasses and milk and then soap and water. Let me tell you, that is not something I want to do anytime again in the near future. Wow! That was…

Had my 6 month PET today
I am very concerned. I viewed the orignal PET vs my 6 month PET and I clearly see uptake in my R upper lobe of lung and hilum of my lungs. This was NOT evident on intial PET. I did have aspiration pneumonia after my second surgery (TORS) in April. I wonder if this could be inflammation from the aspiration? Im afraid the…

I'm tired of this
The last three days have not been fun. I noticed a shortness of breath, fatigue and just generally felt/feel like crap. Temp has been rising slowly and today its 100.4. The temp coupled with the very sharp pain in my back that just won't go away makes me suspicious that I may have yet another bout of pneumonia either here…

Stage 4?
Just curious as to what stage of cancer was your diagnosis? I was Stage 4 and recently the ENT who found my tongue mass told me that when he found the cancer he went home and told his wife he had taken care of a patient who wasn't going to make it! He and I are good friends now and I love his frankness. Why did I make it…

Tinitus (how can you tell if it is really bad?)
Hi, I just finished my first round of Cisplatin last week and feel like I am experiencing a little ringing in the ears. It's not unbearable but I'm wondering if it will get worse. Dry eyes and burning smell during treatments
Hi, I finished the second week of rads and I'm getting really dry eyes on one side. Did anyone experience this? I could also swear that I smell something burning every time I start my radiation treatments. It does go away halfway through though. I'm wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me. Thank you.

Dental problems after radiation, 2nd time
I had hodgkin disease 22 years ago, and again one year later, then in 2008 I was diagnosed with a malignant tonsil. Radiation again. Gall Bladder
Has anyone had issues with their gall bladder during treatment? My internist who has me have labs done prior to refilling certain scripts, sent me for an ultra sound last weeks as my liver enzymes were a bit elevated, this was no doubt related to the current chemo infusions. Long story short, the ultra sound showed I have…
