G-Tube Feeding Not Going Well
My father has been tube feeding since surgery in November. Initially it was horrible because he had an infection and couldn't keep any food in (diarreha). He's able to tolerate the food now but can only get 2-3 cans in each day because he feels full and starts to get bile in his throat. He's not maintaining his weight and…

ENT appointment Jan 31 - really worried
I am 34 years old, 2 kids. Struggling to quit smoking (I've been an on/off smoker for 14 years). I used to sing semi-professionally - I put myself through school doing back up vocals for commercials. Anyway, 2 years ago I noticed a change in my voice. My range was shrinking - I was losing the high and low notes. Now I have…

Dentures
Has anyone had any success with Medicare, or even a state agency (I'm in Texas) regarding pulling teeth/getting dentures from radiation after cancer? Medicare paid for 5 teeth pulled before my cancer operation, but I haven't been able to get any additional information for this stage. P. French

Obturator and other challenges.....
I've been without an obturator for the past couple of years. Sinus cancer took half my hard and soft palates in 2002. The first prosthesis no longer fit after my tissues shrunk following surgery. In the meantime, I've been using a feeding tube since I have not been able to swallow since May 2003. Although I still have some…

Tumors in the sinus - Symptoms
A mass was discovered in my right sphenoid sinus and I'll be going into surgery soon to get it removed and a diagnosis of what it is. The ENT listened to my description of my symptoms and does not think they are related to this mass. As I read about all the other important structures in this vicinity, I can't help but…
