For those of us with NOT SO ROSY caregivers
Funny thing this cancer, from my point of view, I so admire those that stand beside their man or woman, WOW, I admire you!!! You are truly it seems the few, and so admired by me, by so many of us. For those of us, who do not have that miracle spouse, for those of us, whose spouse couldn't deal with it, the ones that left…

He was fine one day, then went to the ER with breathing problems and passed within a couple of days (this was a great guy, truly one of the good ones) Then a supplier partner who was…

A great time in Europe. Afterward, not so much fun...
Hey gang! The family and I had a wonderful time in Europe. We saw a lot of great things, ate a lot of great food, drank a lot of great wine and had a lot of great conversations. I felt pretty good and did a ton of walking. I took some naps and skipped a long day of walking in Versailles and what I though would be a long…

Results
Got results from both of last week's tests this morning. My CEA was the same as always, very good! My chest x-ray was good, just showed some bronchial thickening. I would assume this is from previous infections. I feel great about me, but my excitement is tempered by knowing there are so many here that would dearly love to…

My husband was diagnosed Feb. 1st 2011 with Stage IV CC, 4 very large mets to liver. That was the worst day of my life, I don't think I have ever had my heart so broken so fast. Appt with Thoracic Surgeon -UPDATE
UPDATE: As expected, the surgeon said that the size 8mm and the Pet uptake - 1.9 is too small to warrant further action at this time. 3 months and get a CT scan this time, not PET. I'm at the 2.5 years mark since DX and colon resection. General accepted stats are 50% of recurrences happen with 2 years of Dx. So, could be…

Scanxiety? Not me?
This is really odd. I normally do not have scanxiety, but right now it is a bit different. I usually like the scans to give me informational updates on where things stand currently. I don't stress over them. But, I'm in a different place again. I've got a lot of other stresses going on with splitting our property (to sell…
