I am interested in finding out what people are doing if anything to prevent cancer reocurrance. As I reported in an earlier post I am stage 4 , and have been NED for 25 months. I once asked my doctor if there had ever been a survey done of those that had survived stage 4 for 5 or more years to see if they had done…

Need to rebel!!!
Having been really good at keeping to the right sorts of foods, supplements etc to help beat this rotten disease, I miss just leading a 'normal' life, which would include the (very)occasional night out with friends, when I could let my hair down and generally party! When I asked my oncologist the other week how much I…

went to naturopathic dr and am starting a detox cleanse Friday
Hi everyone, Well I finally took the plunge and went and saw a naturopathic doctor. Even within that realm, the "ND's" (naturopathic dr) don't all approach things in the exact same way. I've heard of others on the board who have gone and just started in on various supplements. I have felt like the supplement queen lately-…

One Good thing
I have to say that having only received 1/4 of my oxy dose yesterday ... that there is a BIG difference in how I feel. If they take the oxy away ... just the 5fu and folonic acid will be a walk in the park. I can actually drink room temp and even a little cooler. I can get things out of the fridge without dropping them…

Thrilled with this invention!! :)
I don't know how many are like me with severe arthritis, pretty much everywhere. The worst places seem to be my knees (most common), my feet (who knew?) and my lower back. There are other joints but those three areas are the worst. Chemo, especially the oxy aggravated the arthritis so fast that I think it aged the…

Whenever you question your lot in life
Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school.…

Let's lighten up people :)
It seems like I miss a lot of "stuff" that's half gone now, thank goodness. I didn't come here for opinion's on religion or no religion. Whatever happened to selective hearing/reading. Most of us know how to do this gracefully. I think we should all just get along like the good adults we know we can be. Remember…
