New Onco DX test for Colon Cancer
Has anyone found a doctor who actually has this new test available for Stage II patients yet? I would think some of the big national cancer centers would get it first. If anyone knows where the test is available, please post. K1

really good burritos
I read an article on Yahoo that rated the quality and taste of grocery store burritos. I love burritos but I haven't eaten many lately. Mostly because the fast food ones aren't very good and the ones at burrito specialty places are $6 and up. I refuse to pay more than $3 for a burrito. My favorite mexican restaurant sells…

The Spirituality, Prayer, and Meditation thread
Not to be too "me-like" but I can't look the other way forever. There is a place that has been set aside for this type of post over in the Spirituality, Prayer, and Meditation thread. I totally understand that prayer for many, is a part of the support. That is why there is a section just for that. I know this is not a…

JohnSFO and round 3 of chemo (it went well)
Just thought I'd post an update that wasn't all bad news - John started his third round of chemo yesterday (Irinotecan and 5FU) and it went really well. He had done Irinotecan back in the fall and it was awful - the first dose laid him out for 10 days in addition to making him vomit copiously. This time they administered a…

what to eat ?
It seems to be the same old problem, what foods to eat. Since my surgery in May 2007 I've have had diarreah, (you know the runs) more times after surgery then I had before the surgery. I'm getting pretty damn frustrated with it. It makes me not want to eat anything I like. I'm getting sick of yogurt and applesauce. Maybe I…

Squamous carcinoma
Hi folks. I am here to post to get some information for a friend. She was just diagnosed with a squamous anal carcinoma. I know that these are usually an adenoma, but her's was caused by a botched surgery many years ago, so this sort of cancer in this location is rare. She is in the very early stages of investigation (CT &…

Had appointment with doc today about CT scan results. That news was as good as anyone with cancer can get…no other cancer detectible. There was the caveat that it could just be too small to show up yet, but will take the news as positive anyway. I know that this board is colorectal cancer and I probably don’t really fit…
