Hi everyone, I hope that you're doing well. I am feeling down tonight. I have an appointment with my oncologist tomorrow to discuss chemo after surgery and I am dreading it. I did fine with radiation and chemo before surgery, but the surgery was more extensive than expected and took a lot out of me. I am finally starting…

chemo after surgery
Hi there, I was wondering how some of you reacted to chemo after surgery? My mother had 5 weeks of chemo and 25 radiation treatments before her surgery. She reacted better than we thought. She was extremely tired by the end of it, but during the treatments she experienced loss of apetite and visited the washroom quite…

Misreading of MRI?
I had an appointment last Friday with my oncologist to discuss my latest MRI/CT scans. My CT scan showed no tumors in the lungs, the MRI showed no growth or reduction in liver tumor from May (still 1 cm). It had shrunk 50% on last MRI. My oncologist started the appointment by saying "I'm a little puzzled by the MRI, I…

Finally...My Dad starts his last session of FOLFOX tomorrow. He couldn't be happier. I second that. The last three treatments, he's had to take shots (five days in a row) to build up his white blood cell count. Hopefully, this time will be different. How long does it take to get back to feeling normal? Please keep him in…

Hello. Quick question.... I have been on oxaliplatin and xeloda since late June getting my third session August 1st. I get the cold intolerance pretty good. Results from CT/MRI
I just got my results from my MRI of liver and CT of chest. The good news is that their is no new tumors. However, the tumor on my liver, which had shrunk 50%, is still the same size as it was in May, 1 cm. Since there is no reduction in size, does this mean chemo isn't working anymore? Could it be dead cells? I have an…

Kris, Thank you for your response. I do have a couple more questions. She also said that he would not operate on my father until at least 6 months after his first…
