Bus Schedule
Would you mind adding me to the bus schedule next week? I feel fabulous and have no reason to be nervous, but I am anyway. I have a breast exam on Monday and gyn onc visit and exam on Tuesday. I thought it would be a good idea to have them around the same time, but it seems to be making me doubly nervous. I surprise myself…

Dealing with family and friends
All I hear is that they want me to hurry thru this and get back to my normal self. Find myself just biting my tongue and painting on a smile. Really glad I found this place to vent.

Lumpectomy twice on same side...Dr refered me to plastic surgeon yesterday. I am not in to MORE surgery-but he said they can remove fat/cells from one area and inject into my breast. PS can actually reshape a bit-even if reconstruction it can be used to even out results. The Dr told me it is now covered by insurance-even…

PAIN only at night?
I received the Neulasta shot on 5/30/13, a day after Chemo and of coarse I had the expected bone pain for 4 days post which has resolved. But for the past 3 nights either the Left or both of my heels become painful and very warm to touch. I have 3 screws in the left heel after a reconstruction surgery 11 yrs ago. So I…

Insist on biopsy?
I have a history of breast cancer on the maternal side of my family. I am 30 years old and found a lump in my right breast. I was sent for a Mammogram and ultrasound and was told that given my age, it was probably just a fibrous something or other (sorry, can't remember the term). Anyway, I feel like I'm just getting blown…

A new problem. I finished up my rad treatments last week.
I had my last check up with my rads doctor , but now seeing the Oncologist and surgeon. Seeing these two really upset me. I did my full body scan and will know the results after Tuesday. My doctors said if the cancer has spread or affected other areas, they didn't think they would do anything else like chemo or surgery.…

Had my lumpectomy this morning. Surgery went well. 2 nodes removed and both were clear. Surgeon said preliminary test shows that he got a real clear margin. Drain in for only a few days (I hope). Worse part was the nausea after surgery. Feeling a little better now. Hubby cooked (for the first time in 33 years). ha ha. Must…

Just an update on me.
I just thought I would let you all know what is going on with me in case anyone thinks I just left them hanging. I have been dealing with fluid around my right lung since mid April. I have now had the fluid drained four times since then and I'm getting pretty tired of that procedure so I am scheduled for a VATS and…

Shout out to Cinnamon Smile
Hi PinK: Some years back you replied to my question on what to do about excruciating pain from lymph node removal. "Post Breast Therapy Pain Syndrome" what a nice name, no solution. Aftermonths and months of bitterly complaining and a lot of suffering, the interist finally put me on Gabapentin, then switched me to Lyrica,…

My WBC is 9,000 (up from 1700 last week). I am also feeling much better: mouth sores, thrush, fever, diarrhea--all gone. I am having a little less nausea and eating bites of things here and there. Things taste weird, but I tell myself just quit tasting and eat it! Lol. More happy news...I feel stronger today. It is very…

Still NO Treatment Plan
It's been over 2 months since I was diagnosed. 2 lumpectomies followed by both incisions being reopened to get good margins. Today was to be the day I finally got a tx plan. I've been a wreck with all the waiting. Saw onco this morning and was told the Oncotype test results were not in yet. So it will be another week…

Scared of every test
Every time I have a test or a pain I am afraid the cancer has spread. I was diagnosed in March with Triple Negative and am just finished up with my 4th AC chemo and start Taxol next Monday.
