OT- Hubby just asked how to make mashed potatoes
And I'm silently chuckling to myself - how can you not be able to tell when the potato is done? Now, I'm sure we'll be having mashed potatoes on a regular basis - he's retired, you know! Tee hee, Sue

Herceptin: Did anyone ever have to discontinue this treatment?
I was on Herceptin for six months. I was supposed to continue it for one year. After my muga scan last Tuesday, it showed my heart function has decreased considerably and I have to stop this treatment for the time being. I see my oncologist on Tuesday for further details. Has anyone ever had to stop their Herceptin…

Feeling off today ~~
I know I always tell other kindreds that it's perfectly normal to have a bad day but I'm 2 years this month finished with chemo and rads. I was just wondering if anyone else with this length of time still has these days. I'm sad, on the verge of tears and today it is upsetting me that I'm not stronger emotionally. I think,…

can we have a survey.......how many of us work (after chemo, etc) but may be on arimidex, etc.?
I am just wishing that I could go ahead and retire, but $$$ it is not feasible. Loving my job isn't enough for me anymore. I long to have less stress, and more flexibility with doctor's appts.-- and some plain, old, "me" time. Repeated UTIs, fevers, antibiotics, that they are still trying new approaches, a kidney stone…

Generating Ideas for bad memory
Ok here is the issue. Whodathunkit. After getting breast cancer I managed to miss a breast exam and went two months without a self exam. I blame it partially on bad memory and partially on menopause. Before menopause I would remember about 10 times out of 12 to do my monthly self exam. It was easy to remember to do it a…

Chen...
I just read your response to the geirson or what ever it's called, diet thing....I laughed so hard at parts of your response! My last words on that subject, to parrot part of what you said...I would be pissed if I had gone through all of this and now for a second ride at the rodeo, only to find out, if only I had done…

Bad Weather delaying Ornaments Arriving?
I have to wonder??? I mailed my ornament out to my pink sister on Nov. 30th and have not seen a post that she has received it yet. I really wonder if it is due to the bad weather we are having in "some areas" of our country? Since I mailed it at the UPS store using the postal service, there was no tracking available to…

Chemo port not flushed for three years
In 2006 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Stage II, treated with a rather large lumpectomy, CMF chemotherapy via a Bard port, and attempted radiation that was not completed since the catheter placement was not good, and it had to be removed. It almost fell out. My veins were extremely bad for several years, so because I…

Herceptin: Did your Ejection Fraction level ever drop so low you had to stop? Please Help.
I have been getting Herceptin treatments since May 2011. I am half way through. I was being monitored with muga scans every 3-4 months. My ejection fraction started at 63 and continued to go down. I had a muga scan yesterday and it has dropped to 51. My oncologist has scheduled for me to see him on Tuesday to discuss what…
