How do I deal with the anger???
I had my 76th birthday Nov. 24 and have been very healthy most of my life. On Nov.2 had a lumpectomy with 2 positive nodes and am now trying to come to terms with having cancer. I am a nurse and have done all the "right" things for my health for many years -- now this. I have a wonderful family, but am in the process of…

Menstruation and Chemo
I turned 40 this past August while I was on chemo. I finished chemo in early Oct. I was wondering have any of you pre-menopausal women gotten your period back after chemo finished or should I assume it's not coming back! I don't know whether to be excited or not! LOL thanks Chris.

Our "adopted" sons for the day!
Hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! Our family hosted two young servicemen that were finishing up basic training from Lackland Air Force Base to enjoy Thanksgiving with us. I posted pictures. It has to be so hard being away from family. Despite that, they enjoyed themselves very much! Oh...and I had to…

I sent the ornament.
Hope the recipient likes it. Was trying to find something that can be displayed all year around. BTW my ornament from last year has been adorning my dresser all year, it is too special to put away! There are photos of it on here. My grandson loved it, too.

Radiation after chemo?
Morning all :) I have a quick question I'd like to ask. How long after you finished chemo did you start radiation? I didn't have radiation, but my mom has 2 Taxotere treatments to go & then she's done with chemo, but since she had a lumpectomy she will be having radiation also, and was asking me how long after chemo she'll…

Moisturizing eyedrops
Anyone have the name of an over-the-counter eyedrop to use to moisturize eyes. Eyes watering quite a lot, itchy. SE of Taxotere?

Whew! After standing in line, both at shopping (Black Friday, you know) and the post office....
My 'secret santa' is on it's way!!! And, as I was waiting, a man in front of me took pity on my lack of knowledge of these 'express mail' boxes...and helped. And then, being friendly with the gals in the Post Office, he wangled free tape for me!!! YEA!!! WHAT a wonderful angel I happened upon!!! Hugs, Kathi

OMG, OMG, OMG, I am so thrilled--I received the most amazing, miraculous ornament ever!
I just opened my ornament from Victoria (aisling 8) and I am just amazed, jaw dropped to the floor, amazed. It is a clear glass ornamnent, a kind of terrarium, with holly berries and tiny pines combs and an exquisitely beautiful tillandsias bromiliad growing in the middle of it. No one, not even my daughter and husband,…

Next chemo Taxol - can't wait for it to be all over!
I have four more treatments left and next Wednesday I begin Taxol. The last chemo treatments really hit me hard and I have been struggling (exhausted and not wanting to eat or can't eat) Does anyone know if taxol will be easier or just different side effects?

Chemo while making Heavenly Hash with the nurses..who da thought, ya'll!!
I went for my second of twelve Taxol treatments yesterday. After my A/C brake, I had been "missing" a dear man that I met on my first day of chemo in Sept. I was so scared that day, I wanted my husband just to turn around and go home. We shared the same chemo "day" so we talked often. Last week I asked about him again and…

My momma....
I lost my dear Momma on November 2, 2010. She fought a brave battle, but lost. Right now, it's Thanksgiving morning, and life without her is unbearable. I took care of her and believed in my heart that she was getting better, only after she died, it hit me that I was in fact watching her die. My dad is coping, but losing…

Side effects from Taxotere and Cytoxan
I had my first of 4 chemo treatments this past Mon., 11/22. The worst side effect 'so far' is raging acne on my face and neck. I can even feel it in my hair. My facial skin is also somewhat tight, although I applied moisturizer. I called the doctor today to request a prescription and the doctor I spoke with (a resident, I…

HaHa, Ha?
Three young male dogs were strutting down the street when they saw a lovely Poodle. The three quickly ran to her, all trying to impress her, asking her out. She said,"Boys! Please! The first one who can intelligently use the words 'Liver' and 'Cheese' in a sentence will be my date. The striking black Lab said "I love liver…
