Estrogen positive, progesterone negative, and HER2 negative
I'm ER positive (ER+), PR negative (PR-), and HER2 negative. I've read several articles that indicate that Tamoxifen or Arimidex are less effective therapies for women with these type of tumors when compared to ER+ PR+. Does anyone else have the same? If so, what type of hormonal therapy was recommended for you? Thanks for…

I started out Stage 3A, 5 tumors, 3 in lymph nodes, all large, HER2+, E+ & P+. After 4 rounds of A/C, double mastectomy with lymph node involvement, and 12 rounds weekly of Taxol/ Herceptin, I'm officially done with the chemo! Yay! I'll continue Herceptin every 3 weeks for 9 months, begin Arimidex soon for 5 years, and I…

There are 4 antidepressants available that don't interfere w/tamoxifen.
Concerning the issue of tamoxifen and antidepressants. I recently saw my pcp about starting on an antidepressant due to anxiety and depression. She checked the list of ones that supposedly are ok w/tamoxifen and prescribed wellbutrin, but suggested I check w/ my oncologist just to be safe. I called him and learned that…

Tamoxifen / spots on lungs
Hi, I just found out this week by xray I had a 7mm spot on my lungs. That led to many more tests like CT, blood, ultra sound and pet. All tests except the pet and xray were clear/normal. The PET shows 2 lymph nodes (one by each lung in the center of the chest) by the lungs light up. The lung nodes light up also making…

Interestingly enough,at the same time, our "Night Blooming Cirrus", also called "Queen of the Night", (Cactus) was blooming while I was in my quandry about surgery. It sort of woke me up to the fact, that this particular…

Day 12 of Pammy's Rads
Woohoo...1/3 of the way done!! I have just realized that I have made it one third of the way through Rads today. So far it has been pretty easy. How long does this last!??? Neulasta
Hi ladies! Well it's been 7 days since my sister's first chemo and 5 days since she got that awful Neulasta shot. She was doing great until about 8 hours after she got that shot. Then it hit her! Not even 3 Tylenol extra strength has been helping! She started taking 1/2 a Vicadin to sleep through the night! I'm concerned,…

Thinking about stopping
I receive a bill for Chemo. I thought my insurance was going to cover and each time I go see the Oncologist it will continue to built up. So I think I can stop going and not take Femara and I will not need those follow ups. I really want to have my reconstruction done and need to reduce all these co-pays and trips. So I…

Second Opinions
I feel the need to pick the brains of my fellow sisters in pink. I got my results from my lumpectomy on Friday and was told by my surgeon that in a few places the margins were only 1mm, one of the areas was very close to the nipple and in order to get more margin she would have to take skin/nipple but said she would meet…

Hi. I had my first chemo and neulasta shot on Thursday, July 30th and 31st. Besides a couple of rough days, with fever and flu like symptoms, I have been doing OK, except now I have foot pain.
