Hi all ..... I have a question ......
Hey sisters! My onc called ... he said my CT scan results came back 'suspicious for malignancy'. He is sending me to a chest surgeon who is going to remove the 'place' from my rib bone to biopsy. Has anyone had this done? If so, can you give me some insight into the procedure and the recovery time. It doesn't sound like…

Wow...I just went back to one of my earlier posts and read your reply....I thought it was "mean" of them to tell me I had an area that was "probably benign." You, on the other hand, went through the ringer!!! How are you now? Are the scans and mammos clear now? How long ago was it that they told you that you needed the…

Thanks to all
I just wanted to say thank you to all that have replied about my hair issue...This morning again I woke up buried in my hair that has fallen out during the night, how annoying. I can hear the razor coming after me.:-) I think it won't be very long before I just sit down and do it.....

leg pain
I am thankful that my one year scans were all good, but I am having a minor problem that I seem to remember being discussed in this conference last year. I am on Nolvadex (tamoxifen) and have been taking it for almost a year. I recently started experiencing leg cramping and achiness that intensifies with walking. Is this…

I have been bleeding during my bowel movement for at least 10 days, it's gotten alot better, but for the first 7 days, I would bleed so much that the toilet bowl if filled with red water. And occassionaly it happens even when I urinate only, but the bleeding is not as bad. My doctor asked me to take stool softer (Colace)…

to Sherlynn
Hi Sherlynn, Sorry, I didn't see your message until today. My original question was "can i shave my hair during my chemo sessions" and all the responses I got was "yes." I was asking because I felt so bad about the way my hair was falling out and how different I began to look. and actually, although I said i was going to…

RE:Hair loss has begun
Hi Luna, I always thought that hair loss would be the least of my concerns, so I was shocked when it was such a big deal for me. Mine started to fall out in plugs and when the back of my head looked like a raided onion patch, I took a dog clipper to my head and finished it off with a razor. I felt that it was going to…

The hair loss has begun
Okay well like they said on day 14 my hair will start to fall out, well they were exactly right. How is this one of the few things they are right about....Anyway I have very thick hair right now that is a little shorter than my shoulders. Trust me I already cut it is was down the middle of my back. The hair is everywhere.…

Ode to my Mother In-law
This day seems rather odd to me. I was just about to phone my exhusband when the phone rang and it was him calling me. He didn't need to say another word for I knew his mother had passed on. She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side. It seems to have happened so quickly but that is just because I was kept in the…

RE: having a bad day...
Hi everyone, I can't believe the responses and the support I get from everyone who wrote. Thank you! They helped sooo much. I did try to adjust myself these past couple of days, and I think I am feeling a little better. Also, a cancer survivor came by my house with a pastor and a young friend and they prayed for me. I have…

phlebitis
I just finished my 7th chemo treatment last Tues (4 AC and 3 Taxol) which I am getting via IV in my right arm. After the last treatment my forearm was red, swollen and warm. I saw my dr who diagnosed phlebitis and prescribed antibiotics, which I started on Wed. Has anybody experienced this before? The nurses were very…

Getting though this must seem hard. You must not look in the past but the future. My husband needs a heart transplant and I recovered from breast cancer recently. Take each day one at a time. plan things to do that you enjoy and make sure you do them. Depression can only make it worse. If you need help for depression tell…

I am a breast cancer survivor. I am now experiencing double vision. Could it be from the Tamoxifin? I also take Vioxx. Has anyone had this problem?
