Kidney Lesion
So I'm not actually diagnosed with kidney cancer. I'm 21, fixing to be 22 in October and a little over a month ago I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma of the thyroid. Done the ultrasounds and fna's. All that fun stuff. About three days after my first biopsy I had my first ER visit for ear pain/pressure that was…
How to overcome fear of losing your spouse?
Hi, kidney cancer family. My wife's story is a unique one. She found out about her kidney cancer in May of this year and by July she had a full nephrectomy of her right kidney. After analyzing the stage 3 tumor, the surgeon said there is no evidence of spread and that they were able to completely remove the cancer. He…
Just Checking In
Hi everyone! I had my Nephrectomy Aug 2021....stage1 grade 1. I'm 2 years out and still NED. Seems surreal sometimes, like it happened to someone else. It's weird. I can remember two years ago and thinking that I would never feel the way I do now about it, I was sure that I would never feel better about it. I do though, so…

I have a family member who has stage 4 Grade 3 renal cell carcinoma that has spread to her lungs and brain. She had a nephrectomy of her right kidney to get rid of all of the cancer on her kidney. She is going to undergo Gamma Knife radiation and 2 infusions of immunotherapy. When I look online it shows that the prognosis…

Somehow, my scanxiety is much lower this time and I found that CT causes a lot more anxiety to me. I still haven't talked to my urologist, but I've read the…

She found a mass in my abdomen, X-ray, MRI and CT confirmed an…

16 months after partial nephrectomy for stage1 PRCC Grade 4
Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. I haven’t been on here since I had my partial nephrectomy April of 2022. I felt like a new person after surgery in regards to my energy level. I felt like I walked out of a fog a few weeks after surgery . I wanted to get as far away as I could emotionally from being told I had…
