Clear pet scan came back normal before surgery in a few days
I am 57 year old female - I had a pet scan done a couple days before my glossectomy and neck dissection and tongue reconstruction surgery with thigh graft. All that happens on June 3rd - Pet Scan - It came back normal. Is that a good sign I might not need radiation?

Great news
Latest pet scan this week was cancer free. Neck lumps at surgery site are swelling lymph nodes and no threat. Very relieved. Chemo and Radiation ended July 2017.
