Advice, Help, Newbe
Hi. I am new here. It's been a rough two months. I had a tumor removed from my thigh, came back benign and I was elated. Getting the All Clear
Friends, When have you been told you will get the "all clear" if there is such a thing in regards to cancer? I was told major milestone at year one all clear and then at year three most would say you are out of the woods. Most reoccurances happen within the first year so after that survival odds go way up. Just wondering…

Another free gift
Hi folks, About a week after I came home after treatment, I developed symptoms and eventually a full blown case of gout on my left foot (joint of my big toe). Anyone who has dealt with gout knows how painful it is. I had a bout of it about 5 years ago and while it was painful, it paled in comparison to this attack. When I…

in the dark
Hi, Thank you to everyone here for sharing your experiences. I've been reading posts and have learned much about head and neck cancers, and feel better for the knowledge. This doesn't help me understand why a friend from work told me in early April he has Stage IV throat cancer, and won't let me support him. Maybe my…

Create a PEGless club profile?
Not sure when to declare myself officially PEGless but I feel good enough and far enough along to step out there and say I won't be getting one. PEG is such an emotional topic and not many elect or will themselves through treatment without a PEG, but many would probably be interested in seeing a common profile for those…

Missed everyone
I have missed everyone greatly. My son graduated high school and my daughter graduated college. I am so glad to have that over with, but I missed having David by my side. My mother-in-law went with me and that helped quite a bit. I still miss David, but I am trying to start living life again. I have been thinking so much…

Good news - went for a beautiful ride ( in my classic vette) upstate NY today to see my financial adviser - he said I can't die because I don't have enough money( guess I don't have to worry about next pet scan). The bad news is I don't have enough money to retire - talk about being between a rock and a hard place. I am…

Well we got home yesterday about 3:30 and at 6:30 the MDA Doctor's PA called and they want me to come back for a Needle Biopsy with an Ultrasound. Food for Thought...
OK, back by popular demand..., LOL. I know there are many here that only dream of the food they used to eat..., many in various stages of taste and saliva recovery. I was there with you a while back..., recording every food channel out there, slobbering imaginary drool... A sip of water with every bite of tasteless food,…
