Pirfenidone for radiation fibrosis
Has anyone heard of or been in a trial study for Pirfenidone in the treatment of radiation fibrosis? My husband has SEVERE fibrosis of the neck, shoulder, chest, now involving the vascular, (blood flow). His treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer ended in July 2003. I was just recentyl diagnosed with what is an uncommon type of cancer. One which most is commonly found in children. I would love to know anything you can tell me about this or similar cancers. Frankly it's a little daunting to feel like a guinea pig because of the rarity of the problem.
