Stoma bag install trick
Hey fellow baggers. I learned a trick that has helped me a lot when installing a new bag. I use the Coloplast one piece bag. After I draw the cut line to make the stoma hole, I close the end of the bag up. Then I simply blow air into the bag at the starter hole. With the air in the bag it makes it easier to make the hole…

The Reading Room: "Cancer World" Review from The New Yorker
For those who might be interested, the November 8, 2010, issue of The New Yorker, ran what I think is a quite intelligently-written review of S. Mukherjee's book "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer." Cancer World Hatshepsut

Met with the surgeons and the surgery date is..

So, now that I have my colon surgeon and liver surgeon, a urologist surgeon is now being added to the mix. I also now have to…

A Bit Frustrated
I’m a bit frustrated with the way things went at my onc appointment. There is good news and not so good news and I’m just kind of out of sorts while still processing it. Good news, all my counts are good, my oxy side effects are gone, and we made sure that I get pre-meds and a much slower infusion next time. The other ……
