Doctor stopped my chemo today, becasue of all the problems I have had from it.
I’ve completed three out of four cycles of the Roswell Park Regimen in which I receive 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin once a week for 6-weeks and then 2-weeks off and this is repeated for four cycles, or 24-treatments. I have completed 18 treatments. I’ve landed in the hospital with each cycle and the last treatment…

The problem with "KarenLaw's" post...
Joining this board, and posting a request asking for fax numbers, email addresses, or personal responses, appears to most of us as some sort of "scam" affair; Fishing for data never goes over too well on any BBS. Secondly, any oncologist will tell you that there is an approximate percentage of individuals that will survive…

Joint Degeneration?
Anyone expeience any joint problems while on or after chemo? I finished my Tx on 4/6. About 3 weeks ago woke up with real bad shoulder pain. Put up with it for only so long and I finally had to see my Orthopediac Dr and he thinks I might have a torn rotator. I can't think of any event in particular that may have caused it.…

Have you women ever had cervical changes while on chemo?
My GYN called to tell me I had a high grade dysplasia (Precancerous to cancerous changes) about a month ago and to pretty much prepare for a hysterectomy. When I asked him what that meant, he said it was worse than a mild grade dysplasia that I had before I was diagnosed. DUH!! I could have told him that. So he wanted to…

Sad Poll: Who was not there for you?
Did you have people that you thought would be there for you, but then were not? With Father's Day coming up, it just makes me think of my dad. Who never once through 6 months of chemo called me to see how I was. I always thought having a sick child would be a parents worst nightmare, he made it look easy. What about you,…

Seeking info about lung biospy w/VATS
Hello all short story: My PET/CT just this Thursday had inconclusive results. 3 nodules in lungs grew to 5, 6, 9 mm (about 1 to 3 mm growth). The 9 mm one lit up at 2.8 SUV. CEA however continues to drop (0.9 Thursday; 5.5 at dx) and is a good indicator of disease activity for me according to my doc. Doc suggested lung…
