I had my last radiation treatment - DONE!
I had my last booster today, so, I am done with radiation! Rads, for me, were hard to get through. I am looking forward to my skin healing up, not going every day and getting my energy level back up. I was very lucky that my husband, family or friends drove me to every treatment. Now I just need a big celebration! Kathy

I've Been Quiet About My Lung Problems
I had a terrible cough from January to late April. In Feb. I had that awful appenidix surgery disaster. NO ONE HAD TOLD ME THAT MY LEFT LUNG SHOWED ATELECTISIS (general term for multiple problems) I imagine it as a shadow spot that doesn't belong there. My doctor put me on antibiotics for 14 days. No relief, so she put me…

I thought it might resonate with some other kindreds. I am po'd at this disease!!! Dirge without Music Edna St. Vincent Millay I am not resigned to the shutting away of…

Dropping In to say HI
Hello you beautiful people. It's been quite some time since I've posted. For those of you who remember me, I am usually trying to run as fast as I can from this beast. That's why I keep my posts few and fewer. I have checked in periodically to see how everyone is doing, though. Glad to see that you are all (most) doing…

I have some happy news
Sometimes when there is such sad news on the board it is hard to share happy news, but, in my heart, I know it is important to share good news too. I saw my oncologist of 26 years today and he was THRILLED with my PET scan. He even wrote across the top of the report "great response." He told me 2 more rounds of taxotere…

Just want to introduce myself
I have been a member of this site for about 6 weeks. I have been on almost every day. I just thought it was time to make my presence known. I had a partial mastecomy on March 1. My biopsy showed so many precancerous cells, my doctor thought we should remove the whole breast. I had that sugery on March 19. My cancer was so…
