Anyone have problems with their teeth on Femora?
I have been on Femora for close to two years. For the past week I have been having some problems with a few of my bottom teeth. They seem to be losing enamel or something. They also seem more sensitive. I think I read that Femora can cause problems with teeth. Has anyone had problems with their teeth while taking Femora? I…

New here - looking for survivors with cardiomyopathy
I am new to this forum. I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in August, 2002. I had a lumpectomy, followed by 8 rounds of chemo (4 Adriamycin and 4 Cytoxin), then about 10 weeks of radiation. I was doing fine until earlier this year when I went to the ER with chest pains and shortness of breath. They did EKGs and…

Fluid in or around lungs???
I had my regular onc visit on April 2nd. I mentioned that I was having a little trouble breathing and she suggested I get more exercise. I thought that was an odd thing to say to someone who had just complained about shortness of breath just walking to the mailbox so I asked if she was certain I didn't have fluid around my…

just venting
I'm almost a year out from my last radiation after chemo and a single masectomy. Frankly, I felt better last year. This year I know way to much about this survivor crap. The new normal will never be real to me, I kept expecting to get some energy back or some strength, not to be pukey all the time, to have a real mind…

Hi All , Just wanted to let everyone know that my wifes path report was not bad, two out of 15 lymph nodes were positive, we knew one was positive going into things as it was located on the original ultra sound. :) A HA HA :) Hope you like it!
A young Scottish lad and lass were sitting on a low stone wall, holding hands, gazing out over the loch. For several minutes they sat silently. Then finally the girl looked at the boy and said, "A penny for your thoughts, Angus." "Well, uh, I was thinkin'...perhaps it's aboot time for a wee kiss." The girl blushed, then…

Maybe 3rd Round Taxo & Cytox!!! Been delayed twice!
Wish me luck today! Hopefully I will be able to continue my Chemo treatments today! Had to cancel 3/25 and 4/1 treatment dates due to Radiation Recall. I had Mammosite (internal radiation) first and then started Chemo. The Chemo always finds the weakest link in your body! It's like a bad sunburn that peels and leaves skin…

people are not so nice
Hi, I am up in the middle of the night.... my sleep had gotten so much better, but now I find myself slipping back into my old bad habits of not sleeping through the nite and getting up at 4 am. I am almost 5 mos out of treatment, and was making good progress. People from my past seem to be haunting me alittle. It is when…

Home. Again.....*grin*
SUCH an easy travel this time! Our good friends took us all the way to Schiphol, saving us the train experience (baggage in/baggage out). Then we were pre-boarded (frequent flyer) and snagged the best overheads. Flight was good (10 hours, 25 minutes), we slept much of it, but I watched 2 movies on my in-seat screen. In…

OT - What do you call your parents?
What do/did you call your parents and what do your kids/grand kids call you? The reason I'm asking is yesterday I was talking with some people and mentioned my Daddy. They were shocked that a 66 1/2 y/o woman would still call her father 'Daddy'. I can't ever remember calling him any other name (well after sons were born…

New Job, new location, telling people
Hi guys, I've been mostly a lurker on this board and haven't posted much. I feel like I could use some support/insight about whether/when/how to discuss my past with people. I'm a relatively young survivor - 39 years old when I was diagnosed. I am now about 4 years out and am doing very well. I changed jobs and moved to a…

My Oncologist Visit *UPDATE*
I guess the last time I posted I was talking about being pain in the ribs. I did see my pulmonologist and he put me on Avelox (an antibiotic) and said to have a repeat xray in 6 weeks and then come back to see him. He felt the abnormality on the first xray could be pneumonia. That was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday was my…
