I lost a dear friend today
Not to breast cancer but to brain cancer. Sheri Spittler-Davenport was a wonderful person. So smart and with a razor sharp sense of humor. She leaves behind a loving husband and a young son. The world has lost such a loving soul.

Help with hair pain?
I cut my hair down to about 1/8 of an inch and am finding that as it falls out it is rather painful. Does anyone have any suggestions to relieve this pain. It feels good standing under the shower spray but I can't do that all day. Rubbing it gently with a soft cloth helps a bit too. Any ideas out there?

Still Around
Hi Everybody, I just responded to some of the posts and thought I should write my own. I haven't been on for quite awhile, although I think of you all so often. I've been trying to build my Shiatsu practice up again. They tore my rotator cuff during my second surgery - I guess they were in a hurry. I was in pt for a long…

Do you ever feel that you are faking it for the sake of others?
Today I am four years cancer free!! My husband calls it my VC day (victory from cancer). My VC day to us is the day I had my bilateral mastectomy. My oncotype score was a 13 so I chose not to have chemo (the hardest decision of my life) and began taking tamoxifen. Took that for 2 years and then switched to Aromasin after…

Remembering Marsha C. Mulvey who died on December 17, 2011 leaving two adult children. Marsha was one of the most courageous woman I ever encounter on any online breast cancer boards since 1997. I have encountered a lot of brave women but none equal to Marsha. She was diagnosed as stage IV from the onset with cancer in her…

Probably some shots and I will be totally aware of what is going on. (I will just have to shut my eyes, probably.) I am not quite sure about the soreness factor or other post-removal things.…
