I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May-2011 and I've only had to treatments of chemo and my hair had started coming out. I wanted to know what did some of you do when that happened and is there a certain way that you're suppose to do to your scalp.

Has anyone heard of this?
Someone told me that Astragalus herb may boost White blood counts. Has anyone heard of this? I asked nurse at onc. office, she hasn't heard of it. I will ask onc. doc. when I go in on the 12th of sept. But in the meantime, I wondered if anyone here has taken it to boost wb count or heard pro's or con's? Is it safe? Hugs,…

Lovely Taoxifen and Side Effects - Already some for me!
Hi lovely sisters -- I started tamoxifen two weeks ago. I find I have a level of depression. However this doesn't concern me as much as the "yellow discharge" coming from...well you know. Should I be concerned? No period since April - chemo stopped it. I am 33. I appreciate your feedback. :)

Possible minor heart damage?
I had my 6 month check-up with my primary doc and mentioned to her that I had a few episodes of chest pain that almost scared me into an ER visit but I waited it out and it must have just been heartburn. She had her nurse do an EKG and she didn't like the results so I found myself seeing a cardiologist the next day. His…

May be good news?
Had my scans yesterday and today. Will start with the Pet Scan. Says no new metabolic activity. Second is MRI on the brain. No significant changes, so…

Hot spots showing, what ?
When the dr. says hot spots are showing on your PET Scan, what does it mean? That's what dr. told my mom. He said it wasn't cancer, but they need to keep a watch on it. She can't have a MRI, she has a pacemaker. Does hot spots mean it could develope into cancer?
