blood counts a year later
Has anyone had trouble with the white blood counts rebounding or fluctuating months after the chemo -- my wbc never exceeded 5.8, usually stays between 3.5 and 4.0 and now is 2.3 (although I think I have a sinus infection). Just wanted perspective on others who may be experiencing this problem. As always, thanks for your…

Something I have learned
Good morning to you all, I wanted to share something that I have been consentrating on this past year. I have also been helping to calm the mental anxiety of a 12 year old figure skater back home who is very talented. But we all know that how our minds react to things and how we learn to cope with all we feel is very…

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2002 -- mastectomy with breast reconstruction done in April. In July I lost the implant due to a sinus infection which seeded to the implant (removed in the doctors office). Breast Lift
After two lumpectomies and a sentinel node biopsy my right breast is definitely perkier than the left. My port is on the left side and I am considering having my left breast lifted whenever I have my port removed next summer. Wondering if any of you have had a breast lifted to match the other one. Most of the discussions…

Hi everyone. I am considering a mastectomy after a lumpectomy and I am thinking about the Tram Flap. I am not sure if this is a good idea and would like feed back on your surgeries. Is it worth it? Would you do it again or do you think implants are better for reconstruction. I have read a lot of negative things from women…

Haven't been here for a while
Hi everyone! It's been quite a while since I have been in the chat rooms here. I am doing well and still cancer free, however, my 3 year old daughter was just diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in October. It's been a tough month already and our journey has just begun. She is doing well, but extremely frightened. Does anyone…

Tumor Markers
I'm looking for a tumor marker expert. What does Ca 27.29 and Ca15.3 measure, since benign, inflammatory conditions can rasie the levels of these markers, too. Treatment decisions based on markers...are these valid? Has anyone in the universe stayed on Tamoxifen in spite of rising tumor markers and remained cancer-free?…

After chemo
Ladies, I was in contact with you back when I was first diagnosed in June of this year. I've since had a double mastectomy, silicon implants, and I had my last chemo (A/C 4 treatments) October 25. Well now, I'm more afraid then I was at the very beginning of my experience. Somehow I don't believe that I won't die from this…
