Chemo and Radiation next week- Any adivice?
My husband starts chemo and radiation next week. Is there anything we should know. How to prepare and side effects. Whats worse, chemo or rad? He is getting 5-Fu for 5 days and on the 7th day he'll get cisplatin and doing the same in 6 weeks. Rad will be everyday for 6 weeks.

PEG tube and Nutren 2.0- my husband is having problems, any one else?

Layne did his biopsy
Did well...had a small collapse of the lung but it resolved. Took three hours because the nodes were so small, and preliminary tests are that there is no cancer. Complete results on Tues. Surgery next Thurs. I see that Al will be out on Sunday ...isn't that great? Prayers of thanks all the way round.

We made it to Houston
Wow...we had to drive to Louisiana to borrow a car--and the rain was so bad we had to pull over at a hotel. That meant we had to get up at 4:30 am to get to the hospital for Layne's tests today. Wow, it was raining cats and dogs the whole way. But we are here and safe!
