Surgery very easy but stent continues to be a little painful but not unbearable. They Narced me up after surgery but I am not currently on pain pills. The prescribed some of that…

How has Cancer changed you?
I have to ask. Many of you warriors know that I was and still am traumatized to think I had uterine cancer. What the hell? I never smoked, don't drink, didn't do anything except put a little transdermal patch on my body for hot flashes which are sooo bad. And according to my gyno oncologist, my tumor was estrogen driven.…

Remember Sandrine04 who was French?
I just saw on Facebook that she died yesterday. I remember her asking for advice on her cancer. Sometimes she wrote in French. She was so scared. Rest in peace, Sandrine. Love, Eldri

working during radiation
I completed chemo on December 5, 2017 and am scheduled to begin radiation therapy later this month. I returned to work in January and hope to work full time during radiation treatments. Radiation therapy scares me more than chemo ever did. I have had issues with my bowels for years and chemo has further damaged them. I…

Good News! I think
Hello! So my mom went to the doctor and got her results on the ultrasound today and the ultrasound was completely negative except for the fact that her uterine wall was thickened just a bit. No signs of tumors or anything. So the doctor was pretty pleased with that and he did a biopsy right there in the office just to be…

Hello, I have been lurking the forum for a few days and I deeply appreciate all the great info posted here. Although I have not received a final diagnosis yet, I'm pretty sure I have cancer based on the information I have so far (still waiting for the biopsy results) and I'm scared. Some background: I just turned 49. My…

Post Hysterectomy Travel Woes
Hi Everyone, I had A DaVinci hysterectomy 12/27/2017. Since then I have been on several flights; all not great. The first time, just an hour long flight 3 weeks post op, I had the worst gas pains I have ever experienced followed by diarrhea. The second time I took Gas-X, which helped. But now I have lots of nausea and…

Newbies, please read this
I've been thinking about this for some time now and anyone new to this board needs to read and understand this. This board is a wonderful thing but the biggest problem with it is that it is skewed to show the worst. Let me explain. Let's say someone like you, who has just been diagnosed with cancer comes to the board. We…

Metformin Complications
I decided to try taking Metformin a couple of months ago to try to prevent another recurrence of my cancer. I was fine at first with it. I started off with a half a 500 mg. pill a day and then the doctor checked me out after a month, decided I was doing okay, and told me to go up to the whole 500 mg. pill a day. I wasn't…

SaltyCandy's Pathology Report
Went for my post operative on Tuesday, January 30. Doctor gave me a copy right before I left. He said I should be okay with a small chance of recurrance and recommended another gyno to check up (vaginal cuff) Here is the report: FINAL DIAGNOSIS: Uterus, cervix, bilateral fallopian tubes and ovaries, hysterectomy and…

Post Hysterectomy Hot flashes!
If anyone has any idea of what to take for horrendous night sweats and hot flashes that is not hormonal, let me know. I was on Vivelle Dot 0075 for years and now with my Adenocarcinoma and total hysterectomy, the doctors don't want me on HRT and I agree. Is there anything herbal at the health food stores? I am not looking…

Sweating
Silly question. Has anyone noticed sweating a lot more during their cancer treatment? If yes, does it go away after chemo is done? Drinking a cup of hot tea makes my head sweat now. Maybe it always did but I never noticed because I had hair (lots of it). Now with a bald head, the sweating is very obvious. Such a strange…

Could my mom have uterine cancer? Really scared here.
Hi everyone. I'm sorry if I am being a bother but I would love some advice. My mother is 61 years old, post menopausal and has dealt with endometrial polyps her whole life. She finished treatment for stage 1 breast cancer last November and due to the chemotherapy, she started bleeding again from the polyps but the bleeding…
