Uterine Adenosarcoma - found during 2nd opinion - Need advice, please!
I wrote about a month ago regarding my mom's chemotherapy treatment for uterine carcinosarcoma (MMMT). Several members replied that carbo/taxol was the standard treatment they were given, and suggested I get a second opinion for my mother when her doctor suggested a different regime. I followed the advice, went for a…

Just found out I am clear cell - Questions?
Ladies, I have been treated for recurrent metastic endometrial cancer since Aug 2012, but just found out last week that I have clear cell specifically. This makes sense since I have done 2 chemos: 6 rounds Taxol-Carbo, 2 of Topetecan (discontinued when it a. crashed my blood, and b. wasn't slowing the cancer down enough),…

Port question
What is the longest period of time you have gone between port flushes, and your pot continued to work? I don't need to go back for three months, but think probably that is too long between flushes. I have gone eight weeks before. Just curios. I am on the daily blood thinner shots, too.

Good news today - sort of
Had lab and saw the doctor today. My last marker was 505 and today it was 554. So that is less than a 10 percent rise. Of course normal is less than 35, so it is still high, but not as high as the 3200 when I started chemo last time. I asked about follow up and he said I did not need to come back for 3 months. I will not…

D & C..Biopsy Results
Hello All! After bleeding for almost 2 months I went to the ER. Turns out my uterine lining was 20 mm thick. On Friday I had a D & C. My GYN said I should have the results by Wednesday. Does this sound about right? Doing research I see where people have to wait way longer than that. As you can all imagine, I am concerned…

Random Thoughts
I know it's only a 3 month check-up and it wasn't a scan, but I got a "perfectly normal" yesterday. I will take those words as many time as I can get them. We have discussed this before, but the PA said you start counting your survival time at the completion of treatment. To me, that makes no sense as my chemo and…
