Canadian Healthcare
As both a patient and a doctor in Toronto, I am appalled at the negative propaganda Janh in Ontario is expressing about the healthcare system that most Canadians cherish. I worked as a doctor for 20 years in the USA, so I am well aware of comparisons of the two countries. I have no idea what she is talking about!!! We…

Surgery completed 9/26 with good news
My robotic hysterectemy was done on 9/26 and I had very quick recovery. My gyn/onc told me on the day of surgery that the cancer was very superficial in the uterus but he still removed a few pelvic lymph nodes for testing. I had my follow up appt with him on Tuesday and he said the path report on the nodes was negative for…

To chemo or not to chemo, that is the queston
Hi folks. Just joined this site. I recently had a total hystorectomy to remove a nice sized grapefuit from my uterine/ovary area (along with some lymph nodes). The doctor said it was Stage 1 endometrial adenocarcinoma. The surgery went well. He highly recommended getting chemo just in case there MIGHT be some microscopic…

Doctor said "no suspicious characters" when she did my hysteroscopy
Anybody out there have her doctor say the uterus looks fine, only to find out differently when the pathology reports came? Also, I've got a complex lesion on my right ovary, but she hasn't said a word about it and I'm wondering if she will. I'm two years post-menopause and started bleeding three weeks ago, which prompted…

My best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer in June of 2011. She had a total hysterectomy, removal of some lymph nodes. The ultrasound showed the mass that was seen in January is still there. The good news is only 1 is there - in January there were 2. More good news - it hasn't grown. My family Dr is finally listening and sending me for an MRI. I have never had one before. I am very overweight and worried I won't fit in the machine. Does…

Signs and symptoms of uterine cancer
I've followed this discussion board for almost four years, since my Mom was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She unfortunately lost her battle two years ago. I amm now 55 and "post-menopausal" by my hormone levels. I haven't had a period since December of 2011. I recently started spotting. My GYN did a transvaginal…

Now officially three months into remission :)
Dear Sisters, A week ago I had another CT scan (chest, abdomen, pelvis), CA-125 test, and pelvic exam. Everything is clear again/still, and my CA-125 is lower than ever (6.8). Whoo-hoo! This seems real, now, as if my NED report from last time could have been a fluke. My oncologist is delighted, and though she wants me to…

Stage 1B recurrence (not me)
With so much discussion about treatment options going on, I want to tell you about my Thursday. I've stated more than a few times that I wonder just how "rare" UPSC is, since in my little world, in the past 2 1/2 years, I have personally known 3 women with it. My cancer was the garden variety, endometrial adenocarcinoma. I…
