New.
Good morning everyone. I'm new here so I'm not sure where to start. I guess when it all started. When I was 23, in 2010, I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I had a pap. My paps had been abnormal for a while, but this time it was different. A colposcopy and biopsy confirmed carcinoma in situ. I was told not to worry and my…

Delayed reaction
I am waking up at night crying, finally feeling the fact that it is cancer, and especially, just now, experiencing the awful pain and fear and weakness post-surgery. Somehow, I didn't then, as if I were half-conscious (maybe it was all the drugs?) Just wondering if this is a typical thing. I am now in shock over what I…

I am back
I don't want anyone to think I am just coming and going. I have again not been able to log in. An administrator has tried again to fix it - today I can post. If I disappear again, it's because I just can't log in. Thinking of you all and thanking you again for support, Turtle

CA 125 continues to rise.........but more slowly
Went to the doctor and my CA 125 rose in the last 5 weeks. Last time it was 163. This time it is 252. I was going to be happy if it was below 400. So I was very happy. The marker has always been a good indicator for me the the cancer is growing. At least this time it is raising much more slowly. Don't know if it is the…

Discrimination against uterine cancer
I have UPSC that acts like ovarian and is hard to treat. I have experienced denials from insurance companies for PET scans and chemo based on my uterine cancer diagnosis. These same tests and drugs would be covered if I had ovarian. What's with that discrimination??? Seems like we are second class citizens. Why is ovarian…

New here, 4 1/2 years from diagnosis
Hi all! I'm new to discussion about this. I am 4 1/2 years from diagnosis, and am so angry at this cancer! I'm having long-term effects of treatment (neuropathy in my feet, intestinal problems, tendon weakening, anemia, kidney issues, and let's not even get into my sex life), and yes I'm glad I'm here but...DANG! (Or a…

I go to sleep just fine then am wide awake 2 hours later. When I go back to sleep, I am again awake 1-2 hours later. So, how long is this…

Update with great news!
I have unbelievable news. 6 weeks ago, I had a scan done that showed a mass on my lung and a lymph node that lit up. My Onc/Gyn said the cancer was back and I needed to go to a thoracic surgeon to get a biopsy. The Thoracic Dr took a look and said wait 3 weeks and rescan... there was a chance this might be an infection. I…

Cancer Centers of America
Has anyone had any experience with Cancer Centers of America?

thanks Trisha
Hi Trisha, I had my first visit with Dr. Lea yesterday. I really like her she is soft spoken and goes over everything with you and really takes the time to explain. She was very concerned that no lymph nodes were sampled and that i was put off for a long time getting on a oncology board. She felt like a lot of time was…

Anyone with MMMT try Cancer Centers of America?
I was diagnosed with MMMT 1A in June of 2011 at 45 years old - complete hystorectomy followed by chemo and radiation. I only did 2 rounds of chemo because of extreme negative side effects - lots of blood transfusions etc. I was then NED until 7/2012 when I had extreme back pain and could not walk. Found I had a tumor the…

Reiki
I simply CAN NOT get into this Reiki thing! Is it just me or does this not sound like what my grandmother called"busy work"? It was supposed to help relieve stress, but I have been trying to do this for four months and it just makes me more nervy! I get more relaxation from reading my Bible and praying or just sitting on…

Small lung nodules
I had a PET Scan in June, and everything went well. They found a couple of nodules in my left lung, so the Dr. recommended a CT 3 months later. Well, last week it was 3 months later. I had the CT Scan, and now instead of 2 I have 12 small nodules. The 2 old ones did not change in size. The radiologist suggested that the…

CELEBRATING
Ladies, I know a few of us have been waiting for tests. I'm celebrating NED! Wow, this is remarkable what the information does for you. I have had a difficult time believing I'd be NED. Truth! I said I have Faith, while I was imagining the worse. Honestly, I was caving into my imagination a bit. I felt pain, in the entire…

Hello again, have not been able to post
Every time I try to post, I still get Invalid Password. I emailed for help, they sent me a temporary password to use, and that doesn't work, either. So I have to get a new password now to log in. I am reading every day, though. Thanks all for the encouragement. A question: I've been taking Premarin for over 20 years. They…
