Eight weeks ago my sister was told she had grade3 1A Endometrial cancer but now the cancer has spread and turned our condition to Stage 4B. She is only 31 years old and devastating and keeps wondering how long she could still live and how to deal with her pelvic pain and chemo..etc. If you are one of the survivors, could…

Scared, waiting on uterine biopsy results
Hello - I'm trying to keep my wits about me and not jump to conclusions until I get a call from my Drs Ofc tomorrow. My changes started 3 months ago. I'm 51 so thought the changes to my period were signs of Menopause. My period has always been as regular as clockwork. Starting 3 months ago I started having some spotting…

Abdominal Wall Mass
I haven't posted for a while - sorry! I had a full hysterectomy in October 2010 for Uterine cancer. Never really given a stage - but didn't have to have chemo or radiation - so I am guessing 1X. In the past 6 - 8 months I have felt a mass in my pelvic/abdomen area. I have seen several doctors - no one really paid attention…

Lung Nodules
I have a question about lung nodules. I had a CAT scan done back in Nov and 2 nodules showed up (very small). The Dr said this does happen and he doesn't think its anything, but I need to follow up with another scan to make sure they don't grow. I had the follow up 2 months later and they didn't change in size. He said…

Help or advice on ifosfamide/ascites
Hi everyone, My mom has Stage 4B uterine cancer and she's being switched to ifosfamide from doxirubicin as the latter is not working to combat her tumor growth effectively enough. Completed fourth round of chemo
Two long but uneventful days. No reactions, so that was great news. My red blood cells and white blood cells are almost unchanged from the last chemo. However my CA 125 dropped from 969 to 365. That is wonderful. I read where the blood thinner shots can make the chemo more effective. So maybe that is a plus about taking…

port removal
I am having my chemo port removed on Monday after two years. Anyone had this done? What can I expect? The nurse told me that it basically is "the reverse of when they put it in," which isn't very helpful.

2nd round of Chemo
I finished my 2nd round of Taxol/Carbo on Monday. Today I just feel really crummy. It hit me on the 3rd day after my 1st treatment, too,and I guess that's pretty typical. It's hard to describe how you feel to someone who's never had Chemo so when I say I just feel bad, they have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm not…

Lynch people: Are you taking aspirin? how much? and any kind of monitoring?
I'm curious what other Lynch patients have decided to do re: taking aspirin and if their drs have recommended any kind of monitoring along with it. Following in the wake of CAPP2 I'm taking 2 325 mg aspirin a day after taking to my oncologist about it, but she seemed a little unsure of what to recommend - she more or less…
