Mother in law diagnosed with Anaplastic thyroid cancer
They first thought she had developed a new cancer (sarcoma) but the oncologist had pathology look at it again and it was determined that her papillary thyroid cancer turned into ATC. I'm so upset. I hope she can beat this.

follow up testing.
Had TT in Feb 2011, followed by RAI .... had one WBS right after RAI treatment. since then, I have had only ultrasounds, and thyroglobulin test. RAI effect on possible throat cancer?
I had a hemithyroidectomy Oct. 2010 w/ papillary microcarcinoma, followed by completion thyroidectomy June 2013. RAI scheduled this month. Long term survivors after recurrence?
Anybody out there who is a long time survivor after papillary thyroid recurrence? I had my TT in 2000, over 13 years ago when I was 23. Had my thyroid removed in July due to pallimary cancer. I haven't seen a endo yet my appointment is in October. I was prescribed 100 mcg of levothyroxine after surgery. Just got my first blood work back. My Free T4: 1.2 and TSH: 0.065. Doctor thinks that is to low. She changed it 88mcg I only weigh about 118 is this a…
