Finding it Hard
I haven't been on here lately because it's been so hard. Getting on here is like makes me think of dads cancer and I don't want to. But....that is very selfish because I am sure dad doesn't want to think about it either but it's here and always will be. Things are getting rough, although his oncologist says he is in…

Where to find journals here about stem cell transplants
As my time for an auto stem cell transplant approaches...I find the need to talk with others who are/have experienced this before. I read on here that there journals for all to read about people who have gone through this process. Any advice/stories/anything would be helpful! Even some not-so-bad news about one who's gone…

How long for results of excisional lymph node biopsy
I have been battling with issues for a few months now. I have been diagnosed with other issues. However my subclavicularlymph node (neck) kept growing with no sign of infection. Auto Stem Cell Transplant
I am currently undergoing ICE chemo in prep for my auto stem cell transplant late May early June. I am just terrified and not sure. Is someone able to stay with you during isolation? Do you sleep most of the time? How do you feel when you are released? I am also trying to think positive as many stories about transplant are…

Any Hodgkin's Survivors with Heart Issues?
My first episode of sustained Tachycardia in 1991 sent me to the ER and routine chest x-rays discovered a tumor in my chest near my heart. I was soon diagnosed with Stage IIa HL. In 1996, I had another episode of sustained Tachycardia that sent me to the ER again. In 1999 the Tachycardia became so frequent, I needed to be…

Pet Scan?
Ok, so on Tuesday I have my first PET scan scheduled. How different is getting a PET scan done compared to getting a regular CT scan? I'm kind of scared because the last time I had a CT scan done after starting chemo the dye burnt really really bad going into my veins. Which I think is a result of the chemo because it…

Back from Biopsy
I had posted previously asking questions about excision of groin lymph node. The Dr. ended up taking out three lymph nodes but told my family they looked benign to him. I should have the results in 3 to 4 days. So, it does sound good. I do wonder why he would have taken three out when only one had been swollen for a long…

Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Success
I am in a doctor's lobby waiting for my appointment so can't go into all the details of my history with non hodgkins lymphoma but the main point is one of hope. I am a 20 year cancer survivor having had one recurrance which led to a bone marrow transplant 2 years later that saved my life. Today is a new day in cancer…

To get a Stem Cell Transpalnt or Not??
Has anyone ever been in remission without getting a stem cell transplant. And if so, for how long were you in remission? I am told I am in remission (just for the past 2 months), I feel ok, except for all the bone and muscle pain from all the chemo, yet the doc still wants to give me a stem cell transplant cuz he tells me…

Excision Groin Lymph Node
In one way I feel bad even posting here because I don't know yet if I even have cancer, so I probably shouldn't even be bothering you. But, I am really scared. I went to the Dr. with a swollen groin lymph I had for quite some time. He did my blood work which came back fine - then said he would send me to a surgeon for a…

I need help, I'm really scared.
Hi everyone, I'm a 17 year old male with some serious problems lately. A few weeks ago I got over a pretty nasty cold. Coughing and stuff. I'm still spitting up phlegm in the mornings (still lingering in my system). Either way, what I'm so concerned about is a small pea like, soft, movable cyst that appeared in the side of…
