Outpatient nephrectomy?
Good morning, I have asked several questions in this forum and received clear and concise answers which I appreciate. I am seeing my surgeon this week for an upcoming nephrectomy. This will be a robotic procedure. He is going to attempt a partial, but because I have had two ablations with resulting scar tissue, he doesn't…

Active Surveilance Follow-ups with Doc or Assistant (PA orNP)
Hi, Im helping my mother deal with her small renal mass under Active Surveilance. Her Doctor, a kidney oncologist/surgeon, is having his PA meet with us for all follow ups. questions about process
I have a "friend" who has surgery done very recently from September 17, 2020, and it appears nothing has grown back for at least one month. For the last 7 years ( 2645 days), there was no evidence of disease. My Oncologist had said, the risk of CT is now greater than the risk of…

New here
I'm new here, so bare with me. I'm not super tech savvy. Last week I was in the hospital for a bowel obstruction. Had a cat scan with contrast done, and it found cysts on my kindeys. One I was aware of, and in the process of getting a referral to see a Nephrologist for. I was surprised when the surgeon had told me there…
