Hello guys and gals, It's been a few weeks since my hospital stay and I'm physically getting stronger. Some days I sound like a tea kettle going off on the stove top.....lung squeeling at me. I don't use the O2 as much....but still am hanging on to it to get through home based PT. I have my first recheck w/my primary this…

nothing tastes good
Jeff's two favorites-apple sauce which he has at every dinner and coffee ice cream every night tastes yukie now. He is so bummed. Even the coffee we get at Dunkin's everyday is not appealing. It's breaking my heart to see him so misirble. He has only lost about 5 pounds in 4 weeks. We got a reprive on chemo, we are…

They say ...
Be Careful What You Ask For . I asked for a second opinion, and I'm getting cisplatin, erbitux, and something else. Starting in about 3 weeks. So when I'm bald, and feel like sh*t, my friends, please remind me why I'm doing this. Well, I'm ugly already; so being both bald and ugly won't be such a bad thing. Not that I'm…

On a somewhat lighter note... Those that have mentioned about fishing with me... Being in Florida, part of the local wildlife share many of my fishing holes..., snapped a few photos from New Years Day at the local Crappie fishing hole. I saw a few of these guys out on the bank sunning themself, two were at least 10 - 12',…

Marching Forward
Hi Everyone, Well, we're marching forward here, just at a snail's pace. Hubby has Cardio appt. tomorrow. I really think a mistake was made when they removed all but a fraction of his diuretics in the hospitalization. Feet and legs still severly swollen and urination starting to dwindle(urine is dark brown also). Blood…

Took me until yesterday to realize that all of my archived CSN Email messages are gone. :( ( Sorry if I missed an earlier post about this, but does anyone know if these messages are gone for good? There were some wonderful communications from folks that are now gone. I really wanted to keep some of those for a while. Guess…

Sorry for being so explicit, but my dad had to stop rad treatment for at least one week due to some mouth issues the rad-onc had not seen/expected so soon. Update on my mom's condition
Hello everyone! First of all, I want to apologize for not getting back to some of you when you posted on my original topic ‘My mother has throat cancer.’ I genuinely appreciated everything you all had to say, and it meant so much to me that you took the time to reply. Much of what everyone told me helped SO much in that…

DEJAVU

Hi All. I'm desperate here :) I'm really having a hard time getting on CSN. Has been this way since my last post regarding this even with the upgrade. David in the New Year
It sounds like we will start the new year with a blood transfusion. David was very washed out yesterday and didn't even get out of bed until 5 pm. When they drew his blood (while asleep) his hemoglobin was 7.4. They give blood at UK whenever it goes below 8.0 so we are waiting for a call to come in for a transfustion (well…
