Losing Hope
Hello everyone who reads this. I am sorry if this doesn't belong in this forum, but I'm not sure where else to go. I am not a cancer survivor, but my mom is 3x over. She was first diagnosed in 2014 with colon cancer and went through chemo and we were hopeful that it would be the only time she would have to endure that ever…

Our quarter century odyssey
Hi all. New to the forum, but a long time caregiver (spouse). I couldn't decide where to make a intro post. But here it is. I almost hate to say, in the year of Covid, that we are having our best year since 1995. Our story is no more or less tramatic than anyone elses. It starts in a small city, less than 80,000 (1995) and…

Ron50?
Hi all, I haven't been on in quite a while. I'm at a point where my emotions run very high coming on the board. I had to stop taking anti anxieties, they were ruining my brain. That meant avoiding triggers. I wouldn't say what I am now is "back to normal" but I don't think about cancer night and day like I used to. I've…

Looking for Top Oncologist Recommendation in Sarasota/Bradenton
Hi All, my Dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer a week ago and had part of his colon removed. He's moving onto the chemo stage in 6 weeks but the oncologist he was referred to by the medical group that performed the surgery doesn't seem to be proposing more than a basic regimen. I know there are many…

My Recent CEA
My recent CEA shows two different numbers. One line that is less than 0.5 and then a new recalculation below that says "New CEA" which is "a new method result for this tumor marker to allow rebaselining of patients" and that is 0.9, and anything below 5 is considered normal (same as before). I've never seen this new…

Radiation
Having gone the rounds of chemo the last resort is SBRT. Anyone have experience with it. It's in his pelvis, not sure if that will make a difference. They are recommending 5-10 treatments.

Can only laugh
I got my MRI results yesterday on my liver. My last 2 CT scans were good. Showed nothing to be concerened about. Last PET showed same. This MRI showed a 2cm lesion on segment 8 of the liver. Now I'm not stupid, a lesion can be any thing. So that being said I can only laugh about it. I am totally ready for this up and down…

Ketruda was approved
Does anyone know if this means unresectable with no mutations was included? Having studied a lot of math, the use use of "or" in this sentence means each of these types are treatable by keytruda. But, I do know, in general, math logic is not always used correctly in statements. But this is science so hoping! I mean, for…
