The plan is in place
Well, we have a plan. So, I sometimes make fun of my stepdad who always wants a plan. He'll ask, "What's the plan?" or "Do we have a plan?" He needs plans. I'm more go with the flow, most of the time. But in this case I have really wanted and needed a plan! I've been going crazy. Next Tuesday I will have a PET/CT scan to…

Hubby came home today! Yeah! I am so proud of how well he is doing after all the troubles he went through the first night. He has decided that even though they said regular diet, no restrictions, he will eat soft, non spicy things. I don't see how that could hurt. MOST IMPORTANTLY...no evidence of tumor in the margins and…

Frustrated
What is wrong with people? I was diagnosed 11 months ago. At 46 I'm still considered young for this proving it can touch anyone. I've talked to over forty friends and family about this and how important early detection is. In every case they ask, "how did you find out"? I tell them I was lucky with my symptoms and that…

Wonder if this might work for BRAF mutant CRC...
Given that KRAS/BRAF mutations generally preclude certain treatments (e.g. Cetuximab), I found this article about a very effective new drug specifically benefiting BRAF mutant melanoma patients interesting. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38854884/ns/health-cancer/ Of course CRC is a completely different animal from melanoma,…
