I was dianosed with PC this past February. It was operable, and I had surgery 2/8/19. I will pull no punches, it is a tough go for a while afterwards. I was luicky, and around week 8 I really started tunring the corner. I can eat like a orse, which is good, cuz I lost over 40#. I am walking the odgs 1.5+ miles, feeding the horses for morning chores, driving the tractor to fertilize pastures, etc. They took 40% on my pancreas, all my duodendum, my gall bladder, some lymph nodes, and hooked everything back together. They also took a 12 in section out of my transverse colon as it had caner cells on the surface, but they had not pernetrated it. Was called a Stage II. I start folfirinox chemo on 4/22, every 2 weeks for 6 months. I fought depressioin for 6 - 7 weeks after the surgery. I know it has been extremely hard on my wife. I was in one hospital, sicker that a dog for moston January, and then in Mayo Rocheste for another 3 weeks for tests and whipple surgery. su. My kids all flew back each time I ws in the hopsital. which gave my wife some much needed support and rest. It is not a diagnosis any of us want to hear, b ut we paly the credss we are dealt. In my case it is the second cancer I have. I had prostate surgery for cancer in 2004, and it appears to be back. Will worry aobut that after chemo. It is not easy, but be frank with each other. Let me know if you would like to talk. I am a good listener.  Gods blessing to you and your husband

Seeems as if you have a long journey ahead of you but have began getting ahold on it before it gets a hold on you. Fighting different cancers is not fun at all but that does not mean we can not do it. Fight like hell and do not give up. Ask God  to comfort you through this journey and get back on that tractor and keep on tractin.  Please keep us informed on how you are doing. May God bless you in many ways.     Pixie Dust
