Kars5969 has updated their status

I was just diagnosed today with T1 SNUC. Had surgery on January 31, 2013 to remove nasal obstruction. What should I do next? My doctor is very unfamiliar with this and he is actually researching information also. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Kars5969,
Welcome to the CSN community! I am an American Cancer Society staff member who manages CSN. You will likely have a a better response to your post on our head & neck cancer discussion board. Click on "Discussion Boards" on the left side of this page and at the top of the list of CSN links. Then scroll down to the head & neck board and click on it. The folks there are great.

When googling SNUC, one of the matches was this link to one of the CSN head & neck discussion board topics on SNUC: http://csn.cancer.org/node/179094. It was started some time ago but has had a relatively recent post. Hopefully all the posts on it from others with SNUC will be helpful. There are probably other discussion topics about it on the H&N board; you can use the search function on that board to see what pops up. Each discussion board has its own search function. There is also a general search function for the entire CSN in the upper right corner of each page.
Greta (aka your CSN staff)

I was diagnosed in July 2005 and treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville TN.

I have been able to find other SNUC survivors online (mostly on FB) and I have also found others who have lost loved ones to SNUC.

I am an OPEN BOOK and would be happy to talk to you and answer any questions you may have.

The best way to reach me is by email.  mlsmithson@wiserco.com.

I am here for you.
