Breast Cancer Survivor Celebration Quilt

Quiltngal's picture

I was sent this lovely Quilt by my online Quilting group I have belonged to for over four years. They wanted to celebrate with me the progress I have made to being a SURVIVOR of Breast Cancer. The Quilt has 30 blocks..some of the Breast Cancer Ribbon...some a Breast Cancer Ribbon as a Butterfly and some unique to the Quilter herself. A cherished Treasure.

Hi, my name is Madeleine (Maddie) and I just joined CSN so I'm new at this and am not sure how this all works. But when i saw your quilt, I immediately had to respond. I was diagnosed with Paritoneal cancer back in June of 09. I was a GED instructor at the time, and one of my co-instructors had her church members make me a quilt. It was just gorgeous, and the scriptures that they picked were perfect. I bring it with me anytime I have to go in the hospital for chemo, or to the cancer center where I have my chemo. Everybody is just amazed.

I hope your quilt has given you strength as mine has. What a way to go through our routines of chemo and doctor visits, etc. with such a great support system.

I'm sure you treasure your quilt as much a mine. I wish you the best and pray you will be cancer free soon.

God bless and enjoy every day to its fullest.

Maddie (login name Capuchina)
