CT guided biopsy
Although recent CT scans and the PET scans came back mostly good, there was one area where I had a small soft tissue mass that has changed. It went from 2.6 cm to 6 cm. and an SUV reading of 2.4 to a 3, which is still within normal limits. However, the mass is starting to effect my ureter on my left side (hydronephrosis).…

CA -125 continues to rise
Went to the doctor and my marker went from 705 to 905. He gave me several options. When I came to Florida my marker was 712 from September so to raise only 200 points in 6 months is a slower rise, for me Than previously. 1) have a CAT scan and if it shows significant increase in lymph nodes, go back on Taxol/cisplatin. 2).…

Today is March 25, 2014!!!! I’m alive and wonderfully well, living in California, six years after my diagnosis with UPSC. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions. Question everything. Look things up on the web. Google is the best friend I had in my fight. There is a change in the wind on how doctors are looking at…

First Chemo
I just got back from my first chemo treatment. I was sooooo nervous. It was much easier than I had expected. I had a port put in Tuesday afternoon - so only have had it about 3 days - still pretty tender. BUT my Dr had prescribed anesthetic cream to rub on skin about a hour before treatment. It really worked. Much easier…

Hi. I've posted here before recently, but for a recap: My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer in 2008. They did a hysterectomy and then chemo and she was cancer free until this August. The onc saw estrogen receptor postiive cells and thought at first that it might be breast cancer. It was instead a recurrence,…

Your support is most appreciated!
Thank you all for responding to my post. Your suggestions on how to cope have been most appreciated. I am learning to take each day just one day at a time and enjoying each moment more. I work and so that has also been a distraction for me. I find that as I come to accept my UPSC stage 111A diagnosis, I am able to put it…
