1st GYN/oncologist visit
Like the rest of you said, more wait and see. I think I started looking for support earlier than many of you. Now I have a 2nd test that has gone wrong. My Pap test pulled the same cancer diagnosis as the uterine biopsy also showed endometriod Adencarcinoma. The Doc says that usually means the disease is more advanced.…

Managing side effects of radiation?
My mom has been in treatment this past year for Stage IIIc, grade 3 endometrial cancer. MMMT Stage 3a
My mother was diagnosed with uterine carsinosarcoma - MMMT - we just got the pathology back from the surgery and they said it is stage 3a. The surgeon didn't take any lymph nodes during surgery - she thought it was stage 1c after the surgery. When she talked to us she didn't really explain that the new staging meant that…

Scar tissue or recurrence?
I had a CT today. My gyn/onc said there is a "shadow" at the vaginal cuff that he thinks is scar tissue from all of the radiation I had (25 external, 3 internal). There was definately no tumor only thickening. I have had no symptoms. On the bright side, no other organ involvement seen and all lymph nodes looked normal. I…

Surgery to Remove Pelvic Nodes
I have sort of an unusual question. Most surgeons these days do some degree of lymph node dissection during the staging surgery. I had discussed this prior to surgery with my doctor, and was very concerned about lymphedema, due to already having a lot of issues with my legs and feet. So we decided together that they would…

Depression and possible recurrence
Hello, everyone. I was taken off HRT abruptly mid-September. I am getting so irritable, angry, depressed, annoyed at every little thing - this comes and goes in sort of spasms. Exam issues
This is really embarassing, but I have a really personal concern I need to ask about. I have myself worked up into a frenzy again because it's exam time (Monday). It has nothing to do with the typical worry about "what if they find something", but that does still cross my mind. The problem is I'm now 65 years old (that's a…
