Hysterectomy
I am scheduled for a hysterectomy on the 15th of this month. I have been diagnosed with grade 1 uterine cancer. My doctor says that the staging of the uterine cancer will be done during the hysterectomy. I have seen postings by other members that additional cancer was found immediately after surgery. Am I understanding…

Grade 1 Uterine Cancer
I was diagnosed with uterine cancer just last week. My oncologist has advised that the cancer is grade 1 but that he would not be able to determine the stage until he performs the hysterectomy. My doctor also had me have a colonoscopy because he said that at my age (47)I may have a genetic predisposition for uterine…

Question about returning to work or staying on disability
Friends, I am wondering how many of us work, and how many of us are on disability. My blood counts are very low right now-but did meet criteria to have the last chemo. I…

Jan, Hi there my friend. Question for you.....you mentioned in our other posting thread about the frustrations of follow up once chemos are complete. What were you referring to? Do you mean the apprehension of each appointment etc hoping that everything is ok and still NED? Or do you mean the tests? I believe you mentioned…

Some Support for Uterine Cancer
Surgery I guess no one really prepares you for the Big C diagnosis. I was a patient at a clinic for another problem when the doctors discovered the tumor. At the time, I was seven hours away from home and decided that the best course of action would be to return to my home town and receive the surgery. Then, upon returning…

Depression
I was wondering if any of you had trouble with depression? I was fortunate that a hysterectomy was all I needed, but I think that my emotions have finally caught up with everything that has happened to me in the past 4 months. I guess its the body's way of coping- when I was physically ill my emotions were ok- now that…
