lymphedema
Has anyone had lymphedema after pelvic radiation and brachytherapy? I am going up against #6 chemo this week and then radiation. There are so many options today that choosing is tough.

To Daisy366 and Linda
Thank you to Daisy for your response and to Linda for your concern. I'll be starting radiation next week. I can't WAIT for my hair to grow back. The hair loss has been the worst part of treatment for me. Being bald sure reminds me that I am a cancer patient and I just try to not look in the mirror too much. I'm 3 weeks out…

I am finishing up my last round of Chemo next week and the plan is that within 3 weeks I will start External Radiation for 5 weeks. What got added to my treatment plan yesterday was a few sessions of Brachytherapy. Has anyone had this and what type of side effects did you encounter? Also, what type of side effects did any…

No chemo this week
I will finish my antibiotics on Thursday. I have been taking a benadryl every morning before I take the one antibiotic. So far no rash. I still run a temp of 99.5 every evening around 8:00 p.m. I saw the onocologist today, but did not have any lab drawn. I see the infection doctor on Thursday. My onocologist said I could…

LISA: a question about your diagnosis
I read your post about having Stage 3 Uterine Cancer, Stage 1 Ovarian Cancer, and Stage 1 Cervical Cancer, and although I replied under that post, I was afarid you would miss my response. I don't know how to send 'Personal Messages' on this Board, and I want to make sure you get my message, so I'm posting it separately. Do…

Lung nodules
I have not posted for a few weeks. My mom will be going for a CT of the chest on Monday. They found two small lung nodules on her abd CT from a few weeks ago. The gyn/oncologist says surgery is not indicated due to the size and extent of her tumor. So far she has had three rounds of chemo (had to be adjusted and 6 weeks…

JUST DIAGNOSED W/UTERINE CANCER...HAVE QUESTIONS, HELP?
Hi, I'm 45 and have just received late stage 2 (until they check for other places) uterine cancer. I had abnormal bleeding for a couple of years and it was chalked up to being in my 40's by the docs...but symptoms got worse and worse, heavier, more pain, radiating pain, etc...until I ended up at the ER for blood loss and…

Home with a path report
I am home from my hysterectomy. So much more relaxed here than there, even thought the staff at the hospital was fantastic. The doctor came in and said I could go home and that surprisingly the pathology report from the surgery was already back. She had a pretty good poker face, but it broke when she said my cancer was…

update
I have been going back and forth with my dr since Feb. Ultrasounds, blood work, lap, D&C, and hysteroscopy (sp?). Had another appt with gyno yesterday and he says its time to do a hysterectomy. He actually said we probably should've went that route first, instead of doing all these other tests and procedures. The last…
